Styles

Our tattooist are real all-round artists. Realistic or classic, 3D or portraits of loved ones or celebrities, colour or black and white - we can handle all styles. We also do Maori, Mandala or Watercolor tattoos as well as Cover-Ups and Full-Sleeves-Tattoos.

Fine-Line

Fine Line style tattoos are often minimalist and are usually small and free-standing motifs. With discreet and monochrome colouring they look super-elegant and delicate on the skin. They can also be combined with other styles such as Black & Grey, Realistic or Dotwork. Basically, the Fine Line motifs are the antithesis of traditional styles, which are much more concise and have thicker lines.

Dotwork- Dots at there finest

For Dot-Work-Tatoos lines and areas are formed by lining up black dots. Perfectly suited for shadows, detailed patterns, ornaments and mandalas. It' s hard to create a better impression of spatial depth by any other technique.

Good technique and a lot of skill on the part of the tattoo artist is key to this technique – it's quite challenging to position all the dots very precisely and regularly!

Dotwork technique is perfect for individual shading in a motif created using a different technique, but even entire sleeves can be done.

Māori

In Māori society, art found expression in the form of oral literature and oratory, poetry through song, in various performances of music and dance, in weaving, in wood carving and in the making of sculptures from wood and stone.

Tattoos of the body, preferably of the face, were an art form in which social rank, status of birth, marriage, authority and personal sign were represented like a signature.

Watercolor-Tattoos

Watercolour tattoos look like small works of art and are stitched in the same way as paintings: instead of sharp edges, fine lines are stitched and the transitions flow smoothly into each other – the colour may and often should run slightly. This typical effect is created by using several shades of one colour.

Realistic

Realistic style tattooes are made to look like photos on your body. Usually they are based on a real photography or a photo-like painting or drawing. Other than with classic tattoes no borders or outlines are used. Realistic tattooes may be stiched in color or black/gray and feature soft shades and transitions. Photo-realistic tattooes are a relatively new development and require a tattoo artist with perfect skills and a lot of experience.

Portrait tattoos are becoming increasingly popular. They are closely related to photo realism tattoos as people often like to have their loved ones or prominent characters tattoed. Portrait tattoos are a challenging task — the tattoo artists needs to translate all aspects from a photo to your skin texture and body form. Done well, they are a truly beautiful and moving work of arts.

Cover-Up

If a tattoo has faded out over time, it can be stitched over to freshen up the colors.

If you no longer like your old tattoo at all, it can be covered up. Parts of the old tattoo can be integrated into a new motif or the previous tattoo may be completely hidden under a new one. Covering up old tattoos is considered the high art of tattooing. Depending on style and size of your old tattoo covering up can be easy or a most complex task for the tattoo artist, calling for precise planning, highest skills and al lot of experience. Well done cover-up tattoos often end up as a masterpiece of art themselves.
